Release day for Book 3 in the Exotic Pet-Sitter series is here! Belinda Blake and the Birds of a Feather was one of my most satisfying books to finish writing to date, one of those stories where everything kind of fell together beautifully. Here’s a little taste of the story…
BELINDA BLAKE INVESTIGATES…
“This is it,” Chloe said darkly. “So much for my happy little theory that Jackson’s and Claire’s deaths were random accidents. This seals the deal, Belinda. There has to be a murderer on the loose.”
I tried to talk her down. “Walk me through what Rosalee’s mom said.”
Chloe drew a deep, ragged breath. “She said that after the serving staff left, she and Mr. Meier fixed sandwiches and went up to their room to watch TV. The last she saw Peter and Rosalee, they were downstairs in the small living room, looking over their gifts.”
“And then?”
She gripped the wheel tighter, rounding a curve before the Meiers’ gate. “Peter told her that Rosalee took some kind of call. Then she said she had to check on something. He assumed she was heading up to her room. Thirty minutes passed, and when he couldn’t find her, he went looking. Finally, he noticed the door was open to the pool area. He went out and found her dead body, half-floating in the water.”
“The police need to trace that call,” I said.
“Well, her cell phone had been smashed and dropped into the pool, as well, so I’m not sure if they can…”

I loved the first book in this series! I am looking forward to reading the others.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy the rest of the series. I love getting to know the characters better with each book.
Congratulations! I’ve never been around homing pigeons but imagine it would be interesting. I’m going to visit my mom and brother in Lewisburg next weekend.
Have a great time! Let me know if you go somewhere to eat! I just ate at Food & Friends for the first time on our last visit. 😉
My mom loves Food and Friends. I don’t know if they still do it but they used to bake bread in little flower pots and serve it.
Oh, that’s cute! I don’t think they did that, but we didn’t get bread I think. The food was lovely. There’s another little place we like over there, as well as The Wild Bean coffee shop.
I am not acquainted w/ anyone who has/cares for homing pigeons. When I was a youngster we lived in a neighborhood that had lots of pigeons who found a home on our houses…not sure that counts as homing pigeons, though! LOL Happy Release Day, Heather.
LOL! Not quite the same, but I imagine pigeon behavior is pretty similar across the board. Thank you!
Awesome! So happy for you!
Thank you!
This is on my reading list, so thanks for the giveaway!
Yay! I hope you get to read it. 🙂
Congratulations, Heather. Your books sound amazing, and I’m glad I discovered you.
Thank you!
No, don’t rea..y know anything about homing pigeons.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
I didn’t raise homing pigeons, but I had a pigeon I had to sell. She kept coming back home!
That’s interesting…yes, Belinda discovers that in this book!
Thanks for the giveaway.
Thank you for stopping in today!
I have seen many pigeons but do not know anyone who raises them.

I haven’t read this series yet, but I added it to my TBR list. Thanks for the chance to win! Renee
Thanks for adding to your TBR! Hope you enjoy!
I don’t have any experience with homing pigeons. I did read Kate Breslin’s book Far Side of the Sea that included carrier pigeons being used in World War I. It was very interesting.
I’ll bet it was! I read up on carrier pigeons a bit and it was interesting! Homing pigeons might not be QUITE as thrilling, but they were fun to research too. 😉
I have never been close to homing pigeons. When I was about 10 years old, my friend’s mother raised parakeets. She gave us two and we took them home in a paper bag.
In a paper bag! Wow! Thanks for stopping in today!
These books sound like very good reads, I really love the covers.
Thank you! I really like them, too! 🙂
I’ve never seen homing pigeons, but I read a great cozy featuring them.
😉
I’ve never been near homing pigeons or known anyone that raised them. I do find the concept interesting, though. Can’t wait to read your book. Thanks for the chance to win.
Thanks for entering! Hope you enjoy it–I really had fun writing this one.
No I have never been around homing pigeons but I have heard of them. I love the covers and they sound like great reads thanks for the chance.
Thank you for stopping by!
I have never known anyone or even thought of homing pigeons outside of a movie I saw a very long time ago.
I haven’t really seen many movies about them either, although they are used as those white doves that are released at weddings, too.
No, I’ve never gotten up close to Homing pigeons. I’ve seen TV shows featuring characters having them. Thank you for the chance!
Sure! Thanks for dropping by!
I have never been around homing pigeons. These books sound like such fun and interesting reads!
