If you’ve never read Peace Like a River by Leif Enger, I hope you put it on your TBR list. Not only does he sport a very VIKING name (hee), he’s also an author with a knack for beautiful turns of phrase. Today, I’m quoting a little something from Peace Like a River that I’d scrawled in one of my numerous notebooks. Enjoy!
“Hope is like yeast, you know, rising under warmth.”
****Do you agree with this quote? Why or why not?****

What a quote. Love it. And LOVE the book…it's been too many years since I read it. Pretty sure I'm due for a re-read. 🙂

I know, I haven't read it for quite a while either, Melissa! And TC, great to see you popping by!

Oooh, I love that quote! And I loved that book when I read it … but it's been several years. The ending was quite a surprise, wasn't it?
Heather Day Gilbert says
Beth, I hate to say I hardly remember it, but I do vaguely remember it didn't wrap up the way I wanted it to!

I loved the book, and I love the quote too. Hope grows when it is encouraged.
