I have read self-published novels, but I’m not sure what you mean by an “indie author”.

    • heatherdaygilbert says

      May 23, 2015 at 5:38 pm

“Indie author” is just short for an independent author. It is like self-pub but generally it’s more like a business, in which the author hires editors, cover designers, or whatever things they can’t do themselves and they often produce multiple books under a publisher/press name. When I think of selfpub I think of more a one-time effort or something done by a vanity press. But they do overlap. Hope that helps! Joanna Penn just did a great post on that: http://www.thecreativepenn.com/2015/05/22/pros-and-cons-indie-author/
