A Little Peek at my West Virginia Mystery Novel–MIRANDA WARNING

(My creepy, mysterious headshot…to emphasize the mystery vibes)

I’m a guest-blogging fiend recently! Just wanted to give you a heads-up on a vlogpost my friend, Bethany MacManus, did, reading through my answers to interview questions about my latest novel. Bethany came up with the coolest questions, and she’s doing a great vlog series with authors. Hope you can check it out today at: http://anoiseinthenight.wordpress.com/2013/03/20/whats-up-wednesdays-heather-day-gilbert/.

I interviewed Bethany last year on my blog, too. You can find her interview here: http://heatherdaygilbert.blogspot.com/2012/07/faith-and-family-friday-guest-interview.html.

I’m looking forward to my upcoming interview with the one and only Jordyn Redwood this week–will probably be posting it on Saturday!

Have a great Wednesday, all!

No! Nothing published yet, Larry! I just call my books "my novel!" I appreciate your enthusiasm to get a Viking book, though! I'm trying to get it out there and I'm sure I'll have a HUGE announcement here if it ever happens!

Happy #WestVirginiaDay! You might know that I love Happy #WestVirginiaDay! You might know that I love setting my contemporary mystery series in my home state of WV. What you might not know is that there was a time I wanted nothing more than to move away and spread my wings (somewhere like NYC! Where I wound up living for a year when I got married!). But years down the road, I felt my mountain roots pulling me back. Suddenly, I could see nothing but beauty in these comforting mountains and moody skies and honeysuckled summers. West Virginia is so many things—good and bad as any state is—but it’s entirely unique. My husband once marveled at how many people “came back” to their home state here, even after being gone for years, and I see that all the time. These #Appalachianmountains have a way about them, and it becomes a part of you, a love you don’t want to let go of. I’m a #mountainmama, and I’m glad to bring this truly #wildandwonderful state to readers with my books.
